As we close out 2020, “Challenging” is the word that comes to mind.  At times it’s been scary, sad, frustrating, confusing but always challenging.  Through it all, we have also experienced the kindness of strangers and the support of our wonderful clients. From all of you who dropped off care packages for us, to the local restaurant who brought pizzas as they closed, to the woman who made masks for staff, we thank you. There are too many examples of kindness to name them all but know you are all so very appreciated.

There have also been many bright spots this year:

  • Dr. Melanie Tramontina became our newest Associate Veterinarian in the middle of the COVID lockdown and quickly fit right in.  Her quiet confidence and sunny disposition endear her to anyone who meets her.
  • We set an all-time record of pet pictures submitted for the 2021 Newtown Vet Pet Calendar, perhaps a result of COVID and the increased time we are all spending at home. Please consider purchasing one as all proceeds go to the local Animal Rescue Groups.
  • The number of clients who have opened their homes to a new furry friend is heartwarming and has kept us busy! Give them a big hug from us.

We thank you for your patience –with long wait times, backordered items and changing state guidelines for the hospital.  We will continue to work together to care for your pets as we move forward into 2021, hopefully healthy and in one piece.

We are happy to say goodbye to 2020 and wish you much health and happiness in 2021!

Sincerely,

The Doctors and Staff at Newtown Vet
